How are GST returns submitted to the tax authorities?GST returns in Senegal are filed electronically through the appropriate online platform depending on the size of the company:
• Large and medium-sized companies submit returns via the e-tax portal:
https://eservices.dgid.sn/formulairecontribuable
• All other companies file their returns via the Mon Espace Perso platform:
https://monespaceperso.dgid.sn/login
Can a business submit paper GST returns?No, paper returns are no longer accepted in Senegal.
Can an agent submit a GST return on behalf of the business?Yes, a designated tax representative can submit a GST return on behalf of an entity. The representative must be a chartered accountant, a tax professional or a tax lawyer.
How many boxes/data fields are there on the GST return?The latest GST return in Senegal contains 28 data fields.
What does each GST return box/data field mean?Box 1 – Amount of revenues.
Box 2 – Export operations.
Box 3 – Untaxed domestic operations.
Box 4 – Operations carried out under suspension
