Progressing the Rule of Law, page by page

One of the most empowering aspects of the Rule of Law is that the law should 鈥 no, must 鈥 be available and accessible by all.

  • How can you comply with the laws of the land if you don鈥檛 know what they are?
  • How can you challenge unjust or inappropriate punishment and accusation if you cannot defend yourself?

Access to the law is of paramount importance. That鈥檚 where the International Law Book Facility (ILBF) comes in. We take your unwanted legal textbooks and pass them on to those who most need them.

Over the course of 15 years, we have shipped more than 70,000 legal textbooks to more than 50 countries around the world.

Whether it is to judiciaries, law schools, universities, pro bono organisations or prisons; law books are invaluable to many overseas organisations. Access to good law books provides access to justice for all. Limited sources of information or restricted access to resources is too commonly a reason for a lack of access to the law.

The ILBF鈥檚 mission is to share legal knowledge with organisations across the world. Our work directly supports the UN鈥檚 Sustainable Development Goal 16 - Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.

With so many lawyers embracing remote working as a result of the pandemic, you may have entered the exciting world of digital legal research. With tools such as LexisLibrary, holding a huge collection of physical legal texts is not only unnecessary 鈥 it is inconvenient for many! If you have found yourself asking yourself 鈥渨hat should I do with all these redundant law books?鈥 - worry no more!

The ILBF have been working with 桔子视频 since its foundation in 2005 to ensure that every legal book, from any publisher, can have an extended life and bring value to those who really need them.

So, if you have a book or a collection of books and you would like to donate them to the ILBF, we will ensure that they are put to good use and help further the Rule of Law. Find out more about the books you can donate at:
