Where a court deals with a child1 charged with or convicted of one or more offences by remanding the child and the child is not release on bail2, the court may remand the child to youth detention accommodation3 rather than to local authority accommodation4 provided either of two sets of conditions are met in relation to the child5.
The first set of conditions is:
