Registered land definition

What does Registered land mean?

Land in respect of which there is an entry on the Register of Title.

Most land in England and Wales is registered. Title to registered land is proved by the Register of Title. Unregistered land is compulsorily registrable on its conveyance. Registered land is subject to the law as provided for by the Land Registration Act 2002. The interests capable of being registered are listed in the Land Registration Act 2002, s 3(1) and consist of estates, rentcharges, franchises and profits à prendre in gross.
