The House of Commons Procedure Committee has published a research briefing on the sub judice rule. The sub judice rule advises that Members of Parliament should refrain from discussing matters in debates, questions and motions that are pending court decisions to avoid affecting the proceedings' outcomes. However, the Speaker may choose to relax this rule, and it does not necessarily hinder the consideration of legislation. The Speaker has announced plans to review the House's sub judice resolution to ensure its effectiveness. As of now, no additional details about the review has been provided.
