The regulation permitting an attachment order is set out within the Civil Procedures Law (CPL), the main provisions being contained within Arts 252 and 257, but may be further supported by other relevant laws.
Within the emirates that have joined the federal court system of UAE, currently Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain, Federal Law No 11 of 1992 (as amended), makes provision for the courts to grant attachment orders as per Article 10 of the Federal Judicial Authority Law.
